5. Mescaline Cacti to grow on and eat later


Peyote Cacti are very small, very expensive, and grow very slowly. 


Peyote Cacti also contain a paralysing substance that makes a trip extra heavy.





San Pedro Cacti grow relatively fast, and do not contain paralysing substances.


Choose the Strong San Pedro Cacti cuttings for Ceremonies, but now for further cultivation.


These well-dried short cuttings root easily and make new shoots (side branches) above.

6. Mescaline Cacti for ornamental purposes


If you have limited space, choose the Small Perennial Mescaline Cacti.

If you have enough height space, choose the columnar San Pedro Cacti.

7. Small-growing Mescaline Cacti


The Peyote Cactus remains small, and grows very slowly.


But it flowers in the growing period, and also produces seeds from a diameter of about 3 cm.


If you like a beautiful flowering Mescaline Cactus, then also choose a Peyote !

2. San Pedro comb forms remain relatively small (up to sun 20 cm high) and grow in the shape of a comb (fan).

They do not flower, but the semi-circular symmetrical shape is very nice to see.

3. The Super Monstrous forms remain relatively small (up to about 20 cm high) and grow erratically.


They have a grey to light blue colour and are very pretty and interesting to see.

8. Columnar San Pedro Cacti


If you have enough height space, choose a San Pedro Cactus.


San Pedro Cacti grow relatively quickly (up to about 30 cm per year), and can grow very tall (5 metres).


But cutting them off is always possible.  ;-)

9. Peyote Cacti


Peyote Cacti have a pale pink flower, and make few or no side-heads.

Some Peyote Cacti have a dark-pink to lilac-pink flower.

Other Peyote forms quickly make many side-heads.

10. San Pedro Cacti


San Pedro is the Spanish name for all columnar mind-expanding Cacti from South America.


They have short to long spines, and bloom from about 30 cm in height with a large beautiful white flower.


The San Pedro includes several botanical species.





If you like long thorns and a grey to light blue Cactus, choose the beautiful Bolivian Torch.

If you don't like stabbing thorns, choose the beautiful Bald San Pedro Cactus.

11. Bolivian Torch (Echinopsis lageniformis = Trichocereus bridgesii)


This beautiful columnar species has a grey to light blue colour, and up to 10 cm long spines.


They have a different number of ribs.

12. Bald San Pedro Cactus (Echinopsis scopulicola = Trichocereus scopulicola)


This beautiful columnar species has a dark green colour and non-stabbing spines.

13. False Mescaline Cacti


If you want a small False Mescaline Cactus, choose the False Peyote.
